🔥 Chamishi 23, 6027 AA 🔥 - Boundaries of Holiness – Who May Eat and When

Today’s Mitzvot sharpen two holy boundaries: who may eat sacrificial portions and when they may be eaten. The Torah guards the table of YHVH with precision so that what is set-apart remains set-apart. Not everyone may partake, and not every time is permitted. Holiness is honored in both participants and timing.

First, strangers (outsiders) - those not authorized by covenant role - may not eat the holy portions. Some meats are for the kohanim alone; others extend to their households, but never beyond the boundaries YHVH sets. Second, sacrificial meat has a consumption deadline. What must be eaten the same day (or by the next day, depending on the offering) may not be kept past the appointed time. Anything left becomes notar - and must be burned, not eaten. Delay turns a blessing into defilement.

In HaMashiach Yahusha, we see the pattern fulfilled: the holy things are never common, and obedience is never casual. To eat at His table is covenant privilege; to keep His timing is covenant faithfulness. Let us guard both with joy and trembling.

🔥 REMINDERS

  • YHVH decides who may partake of holy things - privilege follows covenant order.
  • Holy food has holy timing; what is left beyond the limit is not for eating.
  • Honor boundaries to keep blessings from becoming burdens.
  • 🔥 REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR ARMOR DAILY!

🙏 PRAYER

Abba YHVH, teach me to honor Your boundaries - both the people and the times You appoint. Keep my heart from treating holy things as common, and my steps from delaying obedience. Let my portion be eaten in purity and in season, that my life may witness to Your order and Your kindness. Baruk YHVH.
